Playtime with Daddy

while mom was with her trainer last night, dad was throwing me up in the air... not so bad right? Well, then he decided to throw me up and flip my feet out a little so I would fly up (AND DOWN!!!!) vertical to the ground, which I thought was incredibly hilarious... mom...not so much! THEN, Dad thought if he could get me Vertical to the ground, he could probably throw me in the air and flip me ALL THE WAY AROUND!!! Does this sound like a bad idea to anyone else? Well, Dad did it, and I seem to be okay, but when he told mom, she was not too happy!

Growing UP!

I am getting so big, so mature, so funny and so smart! Mom was wanting some practice with her new camera, so she took me to a pretty neighborhood and got these shots of me. I don't stand still much, and I don't love having my picture taken...Mom says I take after dad! Still, she sure loves to take my picture!

I love to Vacuum

I really love to vacuum, and I bet you can guess why. I even loved the vacuum before I could ride it, but now I REALLY LOVE IT! I like the loud noise too, I get very wide eyes and say, "LOUT!" then I laugh and laugh.

I also hate wearing socks. When I am in the car, I will take them off and throw them. Yesterday I threw one and it landed on Daddy's shoulder while he was driving. I was laughing hysterically and yelling, "Wook, Mommy, Wook! I Funny! I funny!" Even though I'm not really supposed to throw my socks, mom and dad thought it was pretty funny too, so we were all laughing pretty hard. Then I threw my other sock and it landed right on top of my DVD player, I thought that too was hysterical! I was laughing the whole way home and telling mom and dad how funny I am! (They agree!!!)

(A note from mom)
Oh Jaxon, you are quite the boy. It is 7:05 in the morning, and you are still not awake. This is not your normal routine, so I have been tip-toeing around quietly so I don't wake you up. But guess what? I MISS YOU! I find myself wanting to wake you up, or at least go in at peek at you. That is one mine and daddy's favorite things to do. Every night before we go to bed, we sneak into your room and look at you at least once. You are a perfect angel while you sleep! We have done this since the day you were born, and since you are about to turn 2, that means we have done it at least 730 times, and we NEVER get tired of it. Yesterday you spent some time with papa doing yard work, and you just love it. You do just what he tells you (something mommy has yet to master) because you would hate to be sent inside. Some of your favorite times are going on rides with papa to do errands, and I think this is where you learned that you would rather ride in the basket of the grocery cart than sit in the seat. Oh PAPA!!! I am also loving your prayers lately! You copy us pretty well, and some of your favorite words to say are
Fadu- Father
She-shush-Jesus
Lulee- leaders
Goppee- gospel
tempin- temple
bessys-blessings
missin-mission
You can also fill in most of the words in songs like "I Am A Child of God" "I Hope They Call Me On A Mission" and "I Love To See The Temple"
Jaxon, you fill my heart with love and laughter!

Thurs. Jan 23, 2008

Today I got to go to the mall for singing time. I love to see Doofer the prairie dog, but I call him Dooky, which mom thinks is pretty funny. I always where my Doofer shirt and it makes me so giddy to look at it. I jump up and down and scream and laugh when he comes down the escalator. I know all the songs, and sing them for mom later, but I usually just watch Dooper during the songs and dont sing at the mall. I love my free cookie, my free carosel ride, and wearing my special kids club necklace.

(A Note From Mom)
Well Jaxon, we finally broke down and got highspeed internet at our own house, so I'm pretty sure this will be your journal from now on. It's a little sad in a way, because there's just something special about handwritten notes, but theres also something special about having a not more entrys because typing is so much faster! The other sad thing is that now that I will be keeping this online blog journal to which I can attach photos, there is not much need for scrapbooking. I have loved keeping a scrapbook for you, and put more time into it than a boy (or a boy who grows into a man) will ever comprehend. Just know that everyday with you is a blessing. You are my little man who means the world to me! I am not going to try to catch up on the few months that I missed between now and your last entry, thats just too daunting. There are a few entrys from that time period in your handwritten journal, so together, I hope these leave a wonderful legacy of your life for your future family.
So of our favorite things that you do right now are saying "Mommy (or Daddy) Where are you?" You are almost 2, and you are already begging to sit on the potty. We take off your diaper and hold you on (we really need to get a kid size potty chair) while you grunt and squeeze! (I really AM NOT SURE where you learned that...?) It is so darling, I am hoping to get it on video tape, even though you will be mortified about it later in life. After about 45 seconds to a minute you say, "It came out. I done!" then you hope off and flush the toilet! Flushing is one of your very favorite things to do these days!
